Pro Rating & Customer Review Explained

Building a community where good work and good people matter—where honest reviews help quality contractors succeed, protect customers from being taken advantage of or scammed, and help contractors feel safe and respected while doing the work they take pride in.

How OmniGuild measures contractor performance and how customer feedback works.

The Basics

  • • Every contractor starts at a Pro Rating of 80.
  • • The score is capped between 60 and 100.
  • • It adjusts after each completed OmniGuild job based on customer feedback.
  • • It is separate from the 5-star rating you see on profiles.

How Contractors Are Shown to You

When you post a job, we sort contractors so the best fit rises to the top — fairly.

Top pros rotate to the top

Same trade as your job, within 60 miles. The top 30 contractors are eligible, and the top 5 rotate to the front every job post — so great contractors all take turns being seen first. Your job locks its position when posted, so the list stays stable.

New contractors also get rotated in

5 of the newest contractors (joined within 60 days, wearing a NEW badge) are shown and rotated with the newest signed up — so newer, capable contractors get discovered, not buried.

After the first ten

After the first ten (top 5 rotated + 5 new rotated), contractors are shown by Pro Rating, highest to lowest. When multiple contractors share the same Pro Rating, the one who has held that rating the longest takes the higher spot — then it goes down by how long each has held their rating. Those beyond 60 miles appear lower, under a divider.

How It's Calculated

After a completed job, the customer scores the contractor in three categories:

Quality0–10

Craftsmanship and finish of the completed work.

Reliability0–5

Showing up on time and honoring commitments.

Conduct0–5

Professionalism, communication, and respect on site.

The three scores add up to a Job Score (max 20), which adjusts the Pro Rating:

Job Score 18–20+5Outstanding job
Job Score 15–17+3Strong performance
Job Score 12–14+1Solid, expected work
Job Score 9–110No change
Job Score 6–8−5Below expectations
Job Score 0–5−10Poor performance

When It Drops to 60

A contractor whose Pro Rating reaches 60 is flagged for admin review and may be removed from OmniGuild. You'll see a Flagged marker on their profile and listings.

Immediate −10 Alerts

If a single completed-job review results in a −10 adjustment (a Job Score of 0–5), OmniGuild admins are notified immediately for poor quality work.

OmniGuild reserves the right to investigate and remove any contractor for poor quality work at any time, regardless of their current Pro Rating.

Pro Rating protects customers by surfacing contractors who consistently deliver quality work.
